Windows 7 Upgrade Matrix

Microsoft hat heute seine Upgrade Matrixfür Windows 7 In-Place-Upgrades veröffentlicht.

Folgende In-Place Upgrades werden möglich sein:

Weiters:

Beta auf RC ist technisch möglich aber nicht offziell von Microsoft supported.
RC auf RTM ist technisch möglich aber nicht offziell von Microsoft supported.
alle anderen Wege von Vorversionen weg, sind nicht möglich.
x86 auf x64 (oder umgekehrt) In-Place Upgrades sind nicht möglich

Windows-Anytime-Upgrades sind folgendermaßen möglich:

Windows 7 Starter ->	Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows 7 Home Premium ->	Windows 7 Professional
Windows 7 Home Premium ->	Windows 7 Ultimate

bzw. in Europa:

Windows 7 Starter E ->	Windows 7 Home Premium E
Windows 7 Home Premium E ->	Windows 7 Professional E
Windows 7 Home Premium E ->	Windows 7 Ultimate E

Laut der Upgrade Matrix müssten auch Wege wie Starter auf Professional oder Starter auf Ultimate technisch möglich sein, aber nach meinem heutigen Kenntnisstand, wird es diese nicht als Windows-Anytime-Upgrade zum Kaufen geben.

Anmerkung: Natürlich ist die Tabelle ganz oben für uns Europäer nur von begrenztem Wert, da es keinerlei In-Place Upgrade auf Windows 7 E geben wird!
Einzig für Technet/MSDN Anwender, die eine englische Version (mit oder ohne deutschem Language Pack) von Windows 7 haben, ist das interessant, da sie dann auf die englische Version von Windows 7 (ohne E) upgraden können.
